Akagi Madoka (赤城まどか Akagi Madoka) is the main character of Futari wa Pretty Cure Mahou Mirage. Madoka considers herself as a lonely girl without any friends. Thus, she wishes to find a friend every day to guarantee the wish will come true. Eventually, she hears about transfer student Hirose Ryoko before finding out she is in a lower grade level. Believing it will be possible to be friends with her, Madoka makes another wish and privately says Ryoko will be her friend. Later, the two end up meeting Reflect and become Pretty Cure, although they must be together. Her alter ego is Cure Blossom Mirage (キュアブロッサムミラージュ Kyua Burossamu Mirāju) and her theme color is magenta.

Although not lonely, Madoka considers herself this, even with the ability to make friends. She is intelligent but quiet because she does not see this ability. Even though she is like this, she does have a sense of justice that doesn't show until she transforms with Ryoko. Madoka ends up having a few more friends, but keeps herself limited due to her beliefs.
